Weightloss

The way that weightloss works:

Amanda asks that you commit to a total of four sessions. The first time you meet with her you will actually do session one and two, it is a double session and will last for two hours. During that time you will sit with Amanda and talk about when, where and why you are eating. What you were told and taught about food as a child, what foods are your weakness and what are your goals. This way Amanda can customize all the sessions for you. We all struggle with eating and food, but each of us in our own unique way. Then she will explain how and why hypnosis works. You will then do a hypnosis session where you are in hypnosis for almost a full hour. She will teach you a little self-hypnosis and give you a CD to listen to between your sessions.

Then two weeks later you will come back for your third session, which is an hour and you will chat briefly about when and where you have noticed changes and where you need more help. Then you will do another hypnosis session.

Three weeks after that you will come in for your fourth session. Again, you will do a quick check in and a hypnosis session.

Amanda will work with you on three areas each time:

1. Food and food choices —

She likes to say it removes the refrigerator dance, when you stand in front of the fridge fighting with yourself about what you should have and what you want to have. What most people experience is a new ability to realize when they are actually hungry and when they are full. To start craving good healthy foods when hungry and learn to stop eating when they are full.

2. Movement —

Amanda uses the term movement because some people want the motivation to go to the gym or walk everyday and some want nothing to do with that, so she works with you based on your ability and desires and helps you to feel more motivated to move your body.

3. Emotional Eating —

Amanda will give you tools to use to correctly cope with your emotions instead of looking to food. Whether you eat when you are bored, stressed or just out of habit Amanda will give you tools to be more in control and to make better choices.
